The first session of the Leadership Golden (LG) seminar series is a full day and held on a Saturday. It begins with a continental breakfast, followed by spending some time getting acquainted with fellow participants, the LG Steering Committee members, and the LG Board of Directors. Presentations include a brief history of LG, a review of the overall program, introduction to the Class Project, and an introduction to the concept of leadership. After lunch, which is provided by LG, the afternoon is spent touring city facilities. Although the places visited can vary from year to year, the Police Department, the Fire Department, and the Water Treatment Plant are normally on the agenda.
